Composed by Franz Schubert (1797-1823), “Ständchen” is the fourth selection from the collection titled Schwanengesang (which translates as “Swan Song”). The collection was published posthumously following the composer’s death in 1829. This arrangement by Kyle J. Maxwell-Doherty (b. 1986) features a vibraphone soloist accompanied by a marimbist (5.0 octave instrument required).
